“Where the sidewalk ends beyond a flowing overpass, climb as Druids towards a pastoral sublime.”

Druid Hill Reservoir Interchange explores the overlapping embankments and sidewalks to nowhere between the Jones Falls Expressway and the Druid Hill Park Reservoir. The tour focuses on the history of the the park, the absurd and challenging impacts of surrounding highways, and background on the current reservoir construction project. Along the way, we also share about a community movement afoot supporting pedestrian safety improvements such as traffic calming along Druid Park Lake Drive and Auchentoroly Terrace, better accessibility for people with disabilities, and protected mobility lanes safely connecting Reservoir Hill and Remington. Voluntary physical activities including stepping over obstacles such as guard rails. Be prepared to climb a grassy hill.
