Power Plant Alive! explores the ambiguous urbanism of a former public market street turned privately owned entertainment complex in downtown Baltimore. Including Empty Signifiers, a Monument to Elevated Terror and the ever-present Urban Sublime, among many other invisible public spaces, this tour showcases the complexities of what Baltimore presents as “urban entertainment” to regional and out-of-town visitors.

This tour is approximately 90 minutes and proceeds at a moderate pace. Voluntary physical activities include climbing stairs and standing atop regal bollards.
